We believe that contact sports provide important opportunities in the development of youth. That’s why everything we do reflects our commitment toward youth involvement in sports by ensuring the safety, well-being and optimal development of athletes at all levels of play.

Our mission is to make science, technology and data analysis available for the entire sports community to optimize training methods and improve the game we love.

VINCENT
DISTEFANO

Vincent is currently completing his Master’s degree (2020) in School/Applied Child Psychology at McGill University. He completed his Bachelor’s degree (2018) in Psychology with Distinction at Concordia University.Vincent is a lifelong athlete and has over 13 years of football coaching experience at the high school level. He also has three years of experience at the helm of the Elite Metropolitan School U15 team.Vincent has developed a profound understanding of adolescent behaviors in sports setting and of the crucial role that football plays in youth development over time. 

Interests
Vincent's main clinical and research interests focus on increasing mental and physical well-being among at-risk youths through the use of sport as a medium to increase school engagement. He is particularly interested  in using his expertise to develop more effective protocols and guidelines to ensure healthy long-term athlete development for all youth.

MARIE-MICHELLE
Boulanger

Marie-Michelle completed her Master’s degree (2015) in School/Applied Child Psychology at McGill University and is currently a Ph.D. Candidate (2020) in the same program. She comes to the ENK team with expertise in assessment, intervention and youth development. Her emerging clinical expertise includes working with children and adolescents with various mental health and learning challenges, youth who have experienced significant trauma, competitive athletes, and youth experiencing post-concussion syndrome. Marie-Michelle has received various honours for her ongoing community involvement with vulnerable children and youth.

Interest
Viewing neurodiversity as a strength, Marie-Michelle is passionate about improving community- and school-based psychological and neuropsychological services for all children and youth.Her research interests focus on promoting positive youth development through sports, and the role of the coach as a teacher of life skills.

Allen A.
Champagne, Ph.D

Allen is a medical student at Queen's University (2023) and a defensive line coach for the Gael's Varsity Football Team. Allen completed his Bachelor's degree at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill), where he walked-onto the Tar Heels' varsity football team (NCAA D1) as a Morehead-Cain scholar, and played four years on the defensive line, as a full back, and on special teams.He is a co-founder of the Concussion Education Safety and Awareness program (CESAP), a free outreach initiative through which his team has raised awareness about head injuries, and worked to promote safer playing fields in Canada.

Interests Allen's research interests focus on integrating neuroimaging, helmet accelerometers, motion capture, and novel coaching practices to understand, monitor and reduce the risks of sports-related concussions and exposure to repetitive sub-concussive impacts to the head."

Pamela
Champagne

Pamela has a bachelor’s degree in Business administration specialized in social entrepreneurship from HEC Montréal. Her main focus is building a community of engaged parents, coaches, and athletes willing to contribute to the new perspective proposed by Elite NeuroKinetix.

She truly believes in business as a force for good and wants to develop innovative solutions that help people who don’t have access to the resources they need.
